Chapter 680: I Say You Seducing Means You Seducing
There were still a few guests in the hotel lobby.
The commotion the woman was making was so loud that it drew the attention of the other guests, who all turned to look their way.
“What’s going on? Such a racket.”
“I think I heard something about two women fighting over a man?”
“No, you misheard. It’s that blonde woman, accusing that Oriental woman of seducing her boyfriend and trying to hit her.”
“Actually, I saw the whole thing. It was her boyfriend who went over to chat her up first, even blocked her way so she couldn’t leave…”
Upon hearing a guest say this, the blonde woman’s fury ignited. She glared fiercely at the speaking guest.
“What nonsense are you spouting? Are you in cahoots with her? How could my boyfriend possibly chat her up?”
The guest she yelled at got angry too.
“Why couldn’t he? You think your boyfriend’s some kind of hot commodity? I saw it with my own eyes! He was the one harassing that beautiful woman! And now you’re trying to sling mud on her? Unbelievable…”
The blonde woman was practically losing her mind. Jaden Chang, realizing this could spiral out of control, quickly grabbed her arm and pleaded, “Baby, stop making a scene. It really is just a misunderstanding. Let’s go, I’ll take you to…”
“Go nowhere!” The woman refused to back down, violently shaking off his arm. “I get bullied in my own family’s hotel? You useless idiots, what are you standing around for? Our family pays you to gawk? Throw this woman out right now!”
She pointed furiously at Adeline Hensley.
In her eyes, Adeline, the one who “seduced” her boyfriend, was the most despicable!
The security guards, though they felt it was wrong, didn’t dare disobey their young mistress’s orders. They reluctantly started moving towards Adeline.
The other guests and the receptionist couldn’t help but feel anxious for Adeline.
But looking at those burly guards, even if they wanted to help, they were powerless.
Adeline, however, showed no sign of panic. She remained standing there, completely unruffled.
“Husky, just wait until you’re thrown out of the hotel!” The woman’s face contorted with a twisted sense of satisfaction.
But just then—
A group of tall, robust bodyguards came running from various directions and lined up behind Adeline.
Their presence was imposing.
The security guards immediately froze in their tracks.
Everyone else was stunned too.
Jaden was the first to react. He looked at the numerous bodyguards standing behind Adeline. He knew they were definitely no ordinary people!
Someone who could bring so many bodyguards had to be a wealthy heiress!
“You…”
Even as stupid as the woman was, she knew those few security guards were no match for these bodyguards. Nearing the point of irrationality, she started screaming again.
“Go get all the hotel security guards! And call my daddy’s bodyguards too! As many as there are!”
“Are you crazy? Stop it!” Jaden was at his wit’s end. “This is your family’s hotel! Making a scene here does nothing good for it! Just let it go.”
“Let it go? Why should I? She seduced your—”
The woman kept hurling accusations at Adeline.
Adeline felt her eyes and ears being defiled by this pair. She asked coldly, “So you’re absolutely certain I seduced your boyfriend, right?”
“That’s right!” The woman said with utter conviction. “You definitely seduced my boyfriend!”
“Do you have any proof?” Adeline asked.
The woman’s expression froze.
Proof? Where would she get proof?
“You say I seduced your boyfriend, so produce the evidence,” Adeline stated. “Otherwise, I will contact a lawyer and sue you for defamation.”
Adeline had no intention of falling into a trap of having to prove her innocence.
This woman was the one slinging mud; why should Adeline have to prove anything?
If the woman couldn’t provide solid evidence, it was defamation, pure and simple!
The woman’s lips trembled slightly.
“I say you seduced him, so you seduced him…”
Nearby guests couldn’t help but snicker sarcastically.
Just then, a security guard who didn’t know the full story chimed in.
“Miss, the security cameras. There are cameras in the lobby.”
“Oh right, the hotel lobby had security cameras…”
“Yes, check the cameras!” The woman perked up excitedly. “Once we see the footage, we’ll see you seducing my boyfriend!”
Jaden’s face turned pale with fear.
How had it come to checking the cameras?
There were several high-definition cameras in the lobby, capturing not only clear video but also audio!
If they actually checked the footage, his attempt to chat up Adeline earlier would be exposed for everyone to see…
“Stop this, what’s there to check on cameras?” Jaden tried desperately to stop her.
But the woman, blinded by rage and convinced Adeline was the seducer, only wanted to see the footage and find evidence to slap Adeline in the face!
“Pull up the lobby surveillance footage from just now. I want to see it!” she yelled at the receptionist.
Jaden was terrified. He frantically signaled the receptionist, hoping she’d find a way to delete the lobby footage.
However, the receptionist, already annoyed with him from the earlier incident, pretended not to notice and started retrieving the footage.
On the wall behind her hung a medium-sized screen.
Usually, it played hotel promotional ads.
But now, feeling that Jaden and the woman had gone too far, the receptionist simply turned off the ads and played the recent surveillance footage on the big screen.
Now everyone in the lobby could see it.
First, the screen showed Jaden and the blonde woman.
The woman, still in her waitress uniform, was playfully cuddling in Jaden’s arms.
After exchanging a few words, the woman turned and left to change clothes.
Then, the receptionist switched to footage from another angle.
Everyone watched as Jaden actively approached Adeline and started talking.
He was all smiles, while Adeline remained cold and aloof, clearly uninterested.
In the footage, they soon switched to Oriantonian, which most Yewhainans present couldn’t understand.
But one guest understood Oriantonian, so while watching, he loudly translated the conversation for the Yewhainans.
Actually, even without translation, it was obvious.
The expressions and tones in the video told the whole story.
Especially the part where Jaden brazenly blocked Adeline’s path, refusing to let her leave, and Adeline’s sharp rebuke:
“Get lost!”
The situation was crystal clear.
The woman looked as if she’d been struck by lightning. Her mouth slightly open, her face flushed crimson.
She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
Just moments ago, she thought the surveillance footage would be her weapon to humiliate Adeline.
Now, it had backfired spectacularly, humiliating herself instead!
